Terms of Use

ArcLight from the Mac App Store is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. The copy you download from this site is licensed under the same terms, with ArcLight's developer, Gregory Raiz, in Apple's place where they name the App Store. This page explains what that means in plain words and adds a few things specific to ArcLight. If anything here conflicts with Apple's agreement for an App Store purchase, Apple's agreement wins.

Your license

You may install and use ArcLight on Macs you own or control, for personal or commercial work: your shows, recordings and streams can be for clients, courses, companies or anything else. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app itself, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows it.

The subscription

ArcLight is a free download. Opening, editing and saving shows is always free. Playing, recording, streaming and ArcLight Camera need ArcLight Annual: $49.99 a year in the United States, with the first month free for new subscribers.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free month ends. The subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before then. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings; canceling keeps it working until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple.

If we raise the price, subscribers keep the price they signed up at for as long as they stay subscribed.

The download from this site

The copy from arclightlive.com is a beta: each version works for 30 days from its first launch, updates itself from this site, and may have bugs the App Store version doesn't. It's free while it's a beta.

Your shows and what you broadcast

Your shows, recordings and scripts are yours. We don't receive them and claim no rights in them.

You're responsible for what you put on air: having the rights to the images, video, music, fonts and screens you show, getting the consent the law requires to record or stream other people, and following the rules of the services you stream to or call through, such as YouTube, Twitch or Zoom.

AI agents

When you turn on AI access, agents you connect can change your shows and run them. You choose which agents to connect and are responsible for what you ask them to do. Every agent change can be undone in ArcLight. Your use of an agent and its AI provider is under that provider's terms.

Warranty and liability

ArcLight is provided "as is". Live production depends on cameras, networks, other apps and services we don't control, so we can't promise that a show, recording or stream will never fail; for anything that matters, rehearse and keep a backup. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost recordings, interrupted streams or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for ArcLight in the twelve months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Privacy

ArcLight doesn't collect data about you. The privacy page explains what goes online and why.

Changes and questions

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and changes apply from then on. Questions: [email protected].
